Did You know

DID YOU KNOW – That our first attempt to raise our levy only failed by 11 votes? So, your vote matters! The following information outlines how to vote absentee and how to register to vote. You must register by 10/09/2024 to vote at the 11/5/2024 election. That is when we will try to pass our levy initiative: Continued Excellence in Education again. Without your support, Hudson R-IX will not survive.

ABSENTEE VOTING: Absentee voting begins 6 weeks prior to the election. Voters must provide a reason for voting absentee; except during the two weeks prior to the election, you may vote a no-excuse absentee ballot in person at the Bates County Clerk’s Office.

When voting an absentee ballot in person, you must show an acceptable form of photo ID. In person absentee voters are not eligible for a provisional ballot.

Voters can request absentee ballots from the Bates County Clerk’s Office in person, by mail, by fax or by e-mail. Relatives within the second degree (spouse, parents and children) may complete an absentee ballot application, in person, on behalf of the voter who wishes to vote absentee.

Completed applications can be mailed to: Bates County Clerk’s Office, 103 W. Dakota, Room 1, Butler, MO 64730, faxed to: 660-227-7090 or emailed to: bates@sos.mo.gov.
